Based on an article I found (Best Digital Piano), I am looking to buy the Kawai ES100. Would you agree with the statement that it is the best sounding and feeling digital piano under €1000? Is there another Kawai model I should be looking at? I'm not looking for dozens of features. The most important part to me is staying under budget, and getting the best sound I can (and the most acoustic-piano-like action) for the money.

The ES-100 is really a very good digital Piano. Maybe you have 500 € more, than I would choose the ES-8. Alternatively you can look for a used ES-7. This is also a very good Digital Piano with a better key-action and a better Sound source. I think, a used ES-7 you will find it in the category at 1000€.
